In mid-April, the core international team of the Together We Can project gathered in the picturesque city of Porto, Portugal, for the final transnational partner meeting. Hosted by RightChallenge, this important event provided an opportunity to reflect on the project’s achievements, share valuable insights, and strategize for the future.
Funded by Erasmus+, Together We Can (TWC) is an important initiative designed to empower migrant women residing in rural areas of Portugal, Germany, Italy, Austria, and Cyprus. Since its beginning, the project has facilitated numerous local workshops, events, and online webinars, creating a support network and fostering community engagement.
During the meeting, the TWC team took a comprehensive look at the work accomplished so far. Team members shared experiences from local workshops and stakeholder meetings, providing a valuable exchange of knowledge and best practices. These discussions helped highlight diverse approaches, key learnings, and success stories from different partner countries, reinforcing the project’s impact on migrant women’s empowerment.

A significant portion of the meeting was dedicated to evaluating the long-term sustainability of the project. The team explored strategies to ensure that the knowledge, tools, and support structures developed during the project will continue to benefit migrant women beyond the project’s official duration. The discussions centered on creating lasting community engagement, securing future opportunities, and maintaining partnerships that have been established.
Looking ahead, the team laid out plans for upcoming local awareness-raising events aimed at further promoting the project’s mission. Additionally, preparations for the final online conference in June 2025 were set in motion. This event will serve as a platform to showcase the project’s key achievements, share best practices, and discuss the way forward for initiatives supporting migrant women in rural areas.
As the Together We Can project nears its conclusion, this final transnational partner meeting reaffirmed the dedication of all involved in ensuring its long-term success. With the passion and commitment of the international team, the project’s impact will continue to resonate, empowering migrant women and strengthening communities across Europe.
