RightChallenge Hosts Job Fair 2024 Under the Together We Can Project

On October 22, 2024, RightChallenge hosted the Job Fair 2024 at ANJE Espaço Porto, as part of the Together We Can project. The event aimed to empower migrant women from rural areas by connecting them with opportunities in education, employment, and training. Organized with key partners such as ANJE, ISCAP, and JRS Portugal, the fair was a vibrant hub for networking, learning, and empowerment.

The Job Fair brought together migrant women seeking career advice, employers eager to support diverse talent, and educators looking to better understand the needs of migrant learners. The day’s agenda featured dynamic and interactive sessions:

  • Morning Activities: The event began with a welcome by Dr. Artur Pinto and a representative from ANJE, followed by a presentation on tools and resources for entrepreneurship, training, and access to the labour market by Dr. Diana Borges. Participants then explored stands from various organizations offering guidance and resources.
  • Afternoon Highlights: Workshops such as “Portuguese Labour Market: Practices, Experiences, and Recommendations,” delivered by Dr. Ludmila Fagir and Dr. Verónica Folha, provided practical insights into navigating the job market. Image-building sessions further supported participants in preparing for professional opportunities.

The Job Fair exemplifies the Together We Can methodology, fostering active interaction between migrant women and key stakeholders. Participants gained invaluable insights, established connections, and explored career pathways aligned with their aspirations.

As part of the Together We Can project, this initiative aligns with its broader mission of empowering rural migrant women, promoting their inclusion, and building resilient, inclusive communities. RightChallenge is proud to spearhead activities that make a lasting impact on the lives of these women and their communities.
